Corey Andrew

Independent recording artist Corey Andrew, a Jersey City resident whose musical talent has been praised in several publications including Next, HX, Gay City News and the Boston Globe now adds political activist to his resume. An opponent of the U.S. military’s “Don’t Ask – Don’t Tell” policy, Andrew recently gained national notoriety upon releasing copies of a 3-day e-mail exchange exposing the homophobic and racist rants that a U.S. Army recruiter released upon him when she learned he was openly gay and African-American.

In the tradition of eclectic black artists such as Lenny Kravitz and Seal, Corey continues to break down stereotypes in contemporary popular music. Corey’s vast musical influences include Cat Stevens, Velvet Underground and Pink Floyd.

His debut album “We’re All Stars” (Xcalibur Records) is a breath of fresh air seamlessly combining contemporary rock guitar and celestial dreamlike production with the ambience of lush background harmonies. The album maintains contemporary appeal while delivering cleverly reflective moments from the psychedelic rock movement.

Jason Walker

His debut album, This Is My Life produced two consecutive Billboard #1 singles “Set It Free” and “Foolish Mind Games” and two top five singles, “My Life” (#3) and “No More” (#5).
