Jersey City Lesbian and Gay Outreach, Inc (JCLGO) is now accepting submissions from entertainers for Jersey City's Seventh Annual LGBT Pride Festival entitled "Live & Let LOVE". The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 25th from 12:00 to 8:00 pm; entertainment begins at 2:00 pm, rain or shine.

If you are a Proud individual who is a singer, dancer, comedian, rocker, rapper, DJ, drag act or an all-around entertainer, then join us in celebrating LGBT Pride “On the Waterfront” in Downtown Jersey City, with the majestic Manhattan skyline as a backdrop.

Returning Performers Please Note:  JCLGO / Jersey City Pride strives to feature on our stage as many artists as possible in the limited time we have for our entertainment program.  Each year, interest in performing at Jersey City Pride has been growing.  We would love to give all of our wonderful performers from past years the chance to perform again, but at the same time we need to give special consideration to those who have not yet had the opportunity.  Therefore, we do ask returning performers to "sit out" at least one years' festival before re-submitting an application to perform again.  Thank you for your continued support and your interest in Jersey City Pride!

JCLGO is an all-volunteer organization committed to being the Voice of Pride in the LGBT Community in Jersey City. We are calling on entertainers willing to donate their time and talent in exchange for significant exposure within the New York City and North Jersey area including:

• CD sales at the event (which were very good for the artists who performed last year)
• Entertainers will have their picture & bio in the Jersey City Pride Festival Guide
• Entertainers will be featured on the JCLGO website 2007 Entertainment Page.

We had a turn out of 9,000 last year which we could potentially double in 2007. We have planned a 4-month media blitz which will begin in early May. Different types of media outlets we offer:

• Jersey City Pride Festival Guide 5,000 copies (distribution in NJ & NY prior to the event)
• JCLGO website (we get an average of 30,000 hits on our site every month, in August our numbers double)
• Press coverage from our press releases before the event (e.g. 103.5 WKTU, HX, Next,
  Gay City News, The Jersey Journal, The Hudson Reporter, Time Out New York, GO Magazine and NY Blade)
• Postcard & flyer distribution begins in June. We distribute to all the local restaurants, businesses, as well as the top clubs and bars in the NJ and NY area.

Submission requirements: press kit must include picture, CD/tape and application forms. The JCLGO Entertainment Team will be making selections from April through June. Final deadline for submissions is June 30 th.
