Jersey
City Seventh
Annual LGBT Pride Festival
Saturday,
August 25, 2007
Jersey City Lesbian + Gay Outreach ( JCLGO) will host the 7th Annual
Jersey City LGBT Pride Festival on Saturday, August 25, 2006. The event
is in Downtown Jersey City.
This year’s theme, ‘Live & Let Love’ reflects the spirit of allowing
individuals to lead their lives and to love whom they so choose.
The festival area will extend for blocks. While attending the celebration
of ‘Live & Let Love’, people will shop, eat, be entertained by a
superb line-up of performers throughout the day and become informed of
issues affecting the community.
According to city estimates, Jersey City Pride attracted nearly 9,000
celebrants in 2006.
This year, JCLGO anticipates even greater numbers drawn not only from
the ever-burgeoning LGBT community in Jersey City, but also from across
the state and from over the Hudson! Over the year, JCLGO has continued
to reach out to the local community where we remain a powerful and vital
presence. Seeing the continued strength and achievements of our community,
our group, and the success of our recent Pride events, businesses and
organizations have made significant contributions to support Jersey City
Pride.
Some of the organizations and corporations that have partnered with
Jersey City Pride include: WKTU, Wachovia, Iceland Air, Prudential, Synergy
Fitness, AXA Financial, Next Magazine, GO NYC Magazine, Out in Jersey,
Bank of America, LITM, Beechwood Café & Market, JC Lofts, Duggal
Visual Solutions, Hyatt Regency Hotels, The Office of Cultural and Community
Affairs - Jersey City, the County of Hudson, among many others.
We cordially invite you to become involved in supporting
and benefiting from the dynamic Jersey City LGBT community by partnering
with Jersey City Pride 2007!
Sincerely Yours,
Joseph Koskuba
